Attendees learn key points about the VALID Act and VSO bills within the annual Policy Positions. Congressional Staffers discuss our positions and give best practices for Hill visits. We will also hear from the Housing Policy Council (HPC), trade organization representing financial institutions, discussing VA loan initiatives including the re-vamping VA’s Minimum Property Requirements.

As part of our VAREP tradition, we take this opportunity to honor those individuals, programs, organizations, and monuments that have made significant contributions to the freedom of the United States.
This year, we pay tribute to the Vietnam Memorial, situated in Constitution Gardens in Washington, D.C. This solemn two-acre site features two black granite walls inscribed with the names of service members who lost their lives or remain missing as a result of their service in Vietnam and Southeast Asia during the war. Erected in 1982, the memorial has been enhanced over the years with additions such as the Three Soldiers statue in 1984 and the Vietnam Women's Memorial in 1993.
